The book of Daniel contains stories of the prophet Daniel, who was taken into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar II. Its history begins the third year of the reign of King Jehoiakim in 605 B.C., through the ups and downs of the Neo-Babylonian era, and into the rise of Persia during the reign of Cyrus II. The first six chapters tell stories of Daniel in the royal court, while the remaining chapters recall his visions and prophecies. This category is for Bible studies on the book of Daniel.
