The Cambrian marks the beginning of the Phanerozoic, the age of complex life. While living things have a fossil record going back several million years, complex life forms diversified at a dizzying pace in the Cambrian. The Cambrian fauna includes many familiar groups, but also includes a large number of extinct, and very unusual, fossil taxa. This category is for any website dealing with the Cambrian Period.
