Washington NASA Space Grant Consortium - Fosters science, math, and technology education by offering lists of teacher resources, professional development opportunities, grant monies, newsletter, and school visits. The Science Club - Nonprofit organization that fuels the joy of science, through school assemblies, parent and teacher workshops, television, video, and print. Project GROWS - Genetic Research on Western Salmon provides protocols for high school students to use molecular techniques to do authentic genetic research on endangered salmon populations, as well as distinguishing Pacific native from non-native mussels. Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Science and Engineering Education - Offers science education reform programs, and resources for teaching science. Includes application information, vision statement, information on the LASER project, and equipment loans. History Lab - Sponsored by the Washington State Historical Society. Provides online activities, labs, teacher resources, and a list of sponsors. Washington Division of Geology and Earth Resources - Resources for Educators - Includes links to conferences and workshops, book lists, web links, and information about partnerships for Washington teachers. WSU Equipment Loan Program for Biology Teachers - Washington State University makes available basic science equipment so that all students may have access to current science technology. Includes a list of equipment available, grant opportunities, and science web links. North Cascades Institute - Teacher Education - Offers Washington state-specific teacher workshops including natural and cultural history, science, literature and the arts. Seattle Museum of History and Industry - Lifelong Learning - Information about bringing classes to the museum, teacher workshops, and outreach programs. Education - Noxious Weeds - From the Washington State Noxious Weed Control Board, educational information about Washington's noxious weeds. Includes lesson plans, a coloring book, and activity ideas. Education Technology Support Center - Educational Listservs - Teachers will find a number of topic, grade level, and issue-specific e-mail lists to which they may subscribe. Health Education Resource Exchange - Clearinghouse of public health education and health promotion projects, materials and resources in the state of Washington. Homework Help - Access Washington's guide to web resources for kids of all ages. Teacher Universe - Washington State Standards - Student and teacher versions of the state standards, in HTML and PDF format. WSU Spokane CityLab - Provides hands-on science experiences in the biosciences for junior high and high school students and training for science teachers throughout eastern Washington. On-site biotechnology workshops are available year-round to area high school classes. Washington State Coloring Book - Includes state flowers, people, and places.
