Orange County is bounded northeast by Caledonia County, to the east by Grafton County, New Hampshire, southeast by Windsor County, west by Addison County, and northwest by Washington County. Land area is 689 square miles and the shire town is Chelsea. As of 2000, the population is 28,226.
