Located five miles south of Lincoln City on the Oregon coast, Depoe Bay has one of the world's smallest harbors which is just fifty feet wide and six square acres. The community was named for Charley DePoe, a Siletz Native American of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz. It is also known as the "Whale Watching Capital of the Oregon Coast."
