Beech Mountain is Eastern America's highest town at 5,506ft above sea level. Located in the Appalachian the summer time temperatures are usually mild, while winters are snowy and have an average temp in the 30s. Beech Mountain is also the home of the South's highest ski resort, Ski Beech.
