Nashua was originally part of the colonial town of Dunstable, MA, which also included parts of what are now Dunstable and Tyngsborough, MA, and parts of Hudson, Hollis, Milford, and Brookline NH, as well as Nashua.
In 1853, Nashua was incorporated as a city. It is presently the second largest city in the state.
