El Centro is 15 minutes from international industrial complexes in Mexicali, Baja California. There are two international border crossings nearby for commercial and noncommercial vehicles. Fifty percent of the jobs in El Centro come from the service and retail sector. El Centro is also the winter home of the Navy Blue Angels.
