Jalisco is a state located in west central Mexico. The capital city of Guadalajara is a major commercial center, the largest city in Jalisco, and the second largest city in Mexico. Puerto Vallarta is a major city and tourist destination on the Pacific ocean. Jalisco borders the Pacific ocean and the Mexican states of Nayarit, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Michoacan and Colima.
