St. Bruno is a community on the Montreal South Shore. It is also known as Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville. This is St. Bruno in the Richlieu Valley. Be aware that there are other communities called St. Bruno in Quebec. There is one in Lac St. Jean. There is one called Saint-Bruno-de-Kamouraska and there are others. This St. Bruno is probably the best known because it is the closest to Montreal and because of the presence of Mont St. Bruno and the conservation park. However, it is not the only one. As of January 2002 it was a part of the city of Longueuil, but it is once again an independent city as of January 2006.
