Frontier College - A Canada-wide, volunteer-based, literacy organization. Teaches people to read and write and nurtures an environment favorable to lifelong learning. The Concerned Kids - Uses interactive puppetry to educate children, young people and adults with whom they are concerned, about social concerns including HIV/AIDS, bereavement, drug awareness, prejudice and violence. Toronto schools, colleges, universities and links - A listing of sites from Toronto-area schools and other educational institutions. Environmental Earth Angels - Formerly Tree Life. A non -profit charity whose goal is to provide schools and schoolchildren with a healthy green environment in which to learn and play. Funding comes from industry, government, and private donations. Fields Institute - Centre for mathematical research activity. Information about programs, activities, prizes, people and publications. Centre AlphaPlus Centre - A resource site including discussions about adult literacy, advocacy and training. Also includes a library collection and newsletter. All information available in both English and French. World Education Services - Evaluates academic credentials earned outside of Canada for equivalent academic or employment standing in Ontario. Higher Edge - Consultants on international education and development, and education and technology initiatives. MathNet: Mathematics Network at the University of Toronto - Network of Southern Ontario high schools and math clubs, University of Toronto mathematical science departments, and anyone interested in mathematical ideas and activities. Projects and programs described. Parent’s Advocacy in the School - Offers services for special education students and special needs children in Toronto, including self-advocacy workshops and other resources for parents with students with learning disabilities. AYJGlobal - Organises summer schools in Hong Kong and Taipei for secondary school students to earn Ontario Credits. Huron Playschool Cooperative - A cooperative pre-school program for children from two and a half to five years old, where parents and teachers work together to provide a stimulating program of activities in a caring and safe environment. Law in Action Within Schools - High school program that uses legal education as a tool to assist students to succeed in school and become engaged and active citizens. TDSB e-Learning - A Toronto District School Board project to create learning opportunities over the internet, showcasing and sharing student projects, viewpoints, school announcements and other activities. Vox Factum - Software-based learning for reading comprehension / ESL / precision reading and general academic improvement, to schools, groups and families Assists those with learning disabiliites or academic underachievement,. Toronto Foundation for Student Success - The arms length registered charitable foundation of the Toronto District School Board. Aims to assist students physically, emotionally and intellectually each school day. Parent Co-operative Preschool Corporation - Offers resources from a network of parent-run preschools. Some member schools' pages are also hosted on the site. Includes workshops, newsletters, and special needs programs.
