Battlefield House Museum - Located on the site of the Battle of Stoney Creek during the War of 1812. Museum displays, events information, plus articles on the War. Provides a history and floor plan of the Italianate Custom House erected 1858-60 to the designs of Frederick J. Rastrick and F.P. Rubridge. Sheffield Museum - Preserves, studies, and presents the rural heritage of the Sheffield area. Includes information about studies, the collections and also presents a virtual tour. The Erland Lee Museum - Log cabin and National Historic Site with community and historical exhibits. Events and exhibition listings, historical details provided. Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology - Offers a glimpse of life at the beginning of Canada's Industrial Revolution, a National Historic Site and a Civil and Power Engineering Landmark. Provides tours and lists special events. Whitehern Historic House and Garden - An urban estate originally owned by a wealthy industrialist, which reflects the alterations made by three generations of the family and their interest in literature, history and gardening. Lists programs, hours and admission fees. Dundurn Castle - A national historic site that illustrates the life and times of Sir Allan Napier MacNab, a hero of the War of 1812. The Hamilton Military Museum is on site, as well as a restaurant and gift shop. HMCS Haida Floating Museum - An actual World War II destroyer that welcomes visitors to view Canadian naval history first hand. Includes shipmates' stories and restoration photos.
