The Regional Municipality of Durham is located immediately east of the City of
Toronto. It covers an area of about 1,000 square miles and is home to over 495,000 residents. It encompasses eight municipalities: City of
Oshawa, the Towns of
Ajax,
Pickering and
Whitby, the Townships of Brock,
Scugog, and
Uxbridge and the Municipality of
Clarington.
