The First Nation community of Wagmatcook lies 10 miles west of Baddeck, along the shores of the famous Bras d'Or Lake. It has approximately 600 people, with main industry being fishing.

Wagmatcook First Nation - Gives a series of graphical and written descriptions of this native community. Some photos are also included. Wagmatcookewey School - The school teaches primary to grade twelve and offers a program supplemented by Mi'kmaq language, culture and studies.
