The Tibetan Terrier is a medium sized dog with a long double coat and a wide variety of colors. He is a happy, playful dog , extremely agile and an excellent companion and family dog. He is not related to other terrier breeds, but called terrier because breeds of this size were often classified as terriers in England where the TT was first introduced to the Western World by Doctor Agnes Greig in 1921. The Tibetan Terrier was recognized by the AKC in 1973 and a member of the Non Sporting Group. He was recognized 1932 in Europe and is a member of Companion and Toy Dogs in FCI .
