This category is for BitTorrent clients. BitTorrent is a protocol that enables peer-to-peer file sharing on the Internet and BitTorrent clients are computer programs designed for peer-to-peer file sharing using the BitTorrent protocol.

The term 'client' is not precise as BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer (and not a server-client) architecture. So in this case it used to differentiate peer software from trackers, which assist in the communication between peers.
