Syndicates are organized groups of individuals or companies who commit resources in order to provide the reserves necessary to offer insurance. Lloyd's of London employs many syndicates to back the insurance offered in its name. This category is not limited to Lloyd's syndicates, however.

XL Catlin - An underwriter of specialty property/casualty insurance and reinsurance coverages worldwide. Consists of Lloyd's Syndicate 2003 and the Catlin Insurance Company, Ltd. CNA Hardy - The major participant and manager in syndicate 382, offering aviation, marine, and non-marine insurance at Lloyd's.
