Aromatic petrochemicals are those with one or more conjugated ring systems. The most common examples are benzene, toluene, and xylenes. Only producers of chemicals that can be directly derived from oil feedstocks are listed here. Other aromatic chemicals, such as those incorporating hetero-atoms such as chlorine, oxygen, or nitrogen, are found in other categories.
