Goaltender Maxime Gingras was born on April 22, 1978 in Lorretteville, PQ. He turned pro in 1998, and was named the ECHL Goaltender of the Year and Rookie of the Year, the first player to win both awards, that season. Fans in Richmond, Virginia started the "Max pack" to support Gingras.
