Karaism is the practice of Judaism as dictated by the Torah and Tanakh, the Hebrew Bible. Karaites believe that the Tanakh (which includes the Torah) is the only legitimate source of Jewish law. Consequently, Karaites reject the Talmud (Rabbinic Oral Law) and other Rabbinic additions to Jewish law. Karaism does not reject Biblical interpretation. Rather, it holds every interpretation up to the same objective scrutiny regardless of its source.
