Sites dedicated to St. Foillan, the blood brother of SS. Fursey and Ultan. He was a monk and missionary to East Anglia. When his monastery was destroyed by the Mercians, he fled to Gaul, where he was murdered in about 655.

St. Foillan - Blood brother of SS. Fursey and Ultan. Irish-born abbot of Cnoberesburg until it was captured by the Mercians, whereupon Foillan fled to Nivelles. He was murdered in 652. Also known as Faelan, Faolan, Foelan, or Foalan.
