Dwight Lyman Moody (1837-1899), American evangelist, noted for his crusades both in the United States and Great Britain.

Founder of the Chicago Bible Institute (after his death renamed Moody Bible Institute), Northfield Seminary for Young Ladies, and Mount Hermon School for Boys (The later two institutions are now combined as Northfield Mount Hermon School).
