Aenesidemus, fl. 1st century BC. A Greek philosopher who taught in Alexandria and began his philosophical career as a member of the Platonist
Academy. He later broke with the Academy to found the "Pyrrhonist" school of classical
Skepticism. Aenesidemus' works have not survived. We know of his teachings mostly through the writings of the later Pyrrhonian
Sextus Empiricus.
