Lojban is a constructed human language, which has its origin in Loglan, created by James Cooke Brown in 1955. It was originally conceived as a test of the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis (i.e. that language governs thought). The Logical Language Group, founded in 1987, sees Lojban as the current viable version of Loglan.
