Sun-Earth interaction is manifested in solar radiation interacting with Earth's upper atmosphere, and solar wind which interacts with the Earth's magnetic field and Earth's plasma environment. Sun-Earth interaction leads to space weather. It includes studies of the sun, the solar atmosphere, the solar wind, the geospace environment, and the upper atmosphere. A spectacular example of Sun-Earth interaction is the aurora.
