Berriew is a scenic a village located on the Montgomeryshire Canal and the afon Rhiw. It is a repeated winning of "Best kept village in Wales" and steeped in history with 103 listed buildings with a quarter being connected with the Montgomeryshire Canal which runs across the parish to the S.E. of Berriew.
