Pratapgarh, a district of Amla, also known as Bela Partabgarh lies in latitude 25o55' N and longitude 82o0'E on the Allhabad - Faizabad main road at a distance of 39 km from Sultanpur and 61 Km from Allahabad. It is one of the older districts of Uttar Pradesh, which came into existence in the year 1858.
