Department of Paediatrics - Located at the Royal Children's Hospital and plays a key role in fostering and encouraging research and teaching in child and adolescent health. Department of Pharmacology - Department responsible for the teaching the chemical properties and biological effects of drugs and other chemicals. Department of Medicine, St Vincent's Hospital - Clinical Department of the university that overlaps and interacts in many ways with Departments of St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. School of Dental Science - The oldest dental school in Australia and the only dental school in Victoria. School of Physiotherapy - Established in 1991 in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences with an undergraduate program and higher degrees by research. Department of Psychology - Offers a broad range of subjects and courses aimed at providing a thorough and grounding in the discipline. Bio21 - The multi-million dollar Bio21 Institute and the Bio21 Proteomics Facility are  the first stage in a comprehensive program to establish Bio21 Victoria as one of the world's leading biotechnology centres. Centre for International Mental Health - Teaches and conducts research in the field of international mental health. School of Population Health - Focuses on urban health issues, indigenous health, the links between genomics and public health, and a solid commitment to rigour in scientific methods. Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology - Clinical department based at the Royal Women's Hospital and the Mercy Hospital for Women Centre for Womens Health, Gender and Society - Offers diploma and masters, doctoral and postdoctoral level training in women's health. Australian Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health - Trauma related research, training and policy development. Department of Radiology - Responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and for research in radiology and other imaging including nuclear medicine. In addition, the department is responsible for the postgraduate training program in radiology throughout Victoria.
