Center for Research on Concepts and Cognition - Research focuses mainly on emergent computational models of creative analogical thinking and its subcognitive substrate--namely, fluid concepts. Black Film Center/Archive - A repository of films and related materials in which African Americans have substantial participation as writers, actors, producers, directors, musicians, and consultants, as well as those which depict some aspect of black experience. Also publishes 'Black Camera' newsletter. Rural Prevention Center - Resource from Indiana University and Purdue University. Rob Kling Center for Social Informatics - Based at the School of Library and Information Science at the University of Indiana, the center is dedicated to support research into information technology and social change. Seminars, publications, staff details and activities; and hosts a series of working papers and The Information Society journal. Center for Electronic and Computer Music - Established for the purpose of theoretical training, electronic and multimedia composition, and the dissemination of works through public concerts. Center for the Study of Global Change - Indiana University's Center for the Study of Global Change infuses a global perspective in undergraduate and graduate teaching, research and outreach. Center for the Study of Institutions, Population, and Environmental Change - Studies processes of change in forest environments as mediated by institutional arrangements, demographic factors, and other major human driving forces. Institute of Social Research - Promotes and facilitates research in sociology with a mission statement, services provided, contact information and workshops. Inner Asian and Uralic National Resource Center - Provides a variety of historical analysis in Central Eurasian Studies. Some topics include, anthropology, business, comparative literature, economics, folklore, history, journalism, linguistics, music and drama, political science, public administration, and religious studies. Molecular Structure Center - Small molecule database of structures that have primarily been determined using single crystal X-ray diffraction. Features JAVA applets that can be used to orient and examine the molecule, and a dedicated Beowulf computer system to generate high quality rendered images. Currently contains over 2,500 molecules. East Asian Studies Center - News announcements, publications, contact information, upcoming events, fellowships and grants. Polish Studies Center - Academic activities include conferences, workshops, and book publications. Glenn Black Laboratory of Archaeology - A research laboratory with the archaeological records, artifact collections, and other resources from the Indiana Historical Society. Atmospheric Chemistry Laboratory - School of Public and Environmental Affairs - Research focused on the characterization of the chemical mechanisms in the atmosphere that influence regional air quality and global climate change. West European Studies - The study of modern Europe through an interdisciplinary program of instruction. Describes courses available, the faculty, alumni, and grant information. The Center for Research on Learning and Technology (CRLT) - Organization dedicated to helping people find the appropriate application of technology to improve teaching and learning in diverse settings. Center for the Integrative Study of Animal Behavior - Information from Indiana University's program on animal behavior, with resources for both amateurs and students looking for a graduate program in the field. Center for the Study of History and Memory. - Information on pedagogical, and research goals in the field of oral history of Indiana and the Midwest. Center for Evaluation and Education Policy (CEEP) - Conducts and evaluates research on a variety of educational issues. National Center on Accessibility - Provides technical assistance to organizations of all sizes who are designing and retrofitting their leisure areas and programs for accessibility. The NCA conducts, promotes, and facilitates research on issues essential to accessibility. Anthropological Center for Training and Research on Global Environmental Change - Provides training and research on the human dimension of global environment to graduate and undergraduate students. The Center on Congress - The Center's goal is to explain the work and role of Congress to the average citizen. Indiana Amphibian Monitoring - In response to declining amphibian populations, this group will be using the protocol for the frog and toad calling surveys and will focus on south central Indiana, in coordination with the North American Amphibian Monitoring Program (NAAMP). Latin American Music Center - A research and information institution with a concurrent series of concerts, educational programs and collaborative projects reaching regional, national and international communities. Center for Survey Research - Research services for academic and public policy researchers and to facilitate educational and experiential opportunities for researchers, graduate, and undergraduate students. Political Science Data Laboratory and Archive - The Political Science Data Archive and Laboratory provides support and access to a vast array of statistical data sets and applications. The Ostrom Workshop - Anthropology, economics, geography, political science, psychology, school of public and environmental affairs. Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation - Business resources, student resources, information, news, events. Public Policy Institute - It brings together the resources of the university, the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and other campuses and schools throughout the state to improve public policy discourse and decision making through service, scholarly publications, and applied research. Center for Real Estate Studies - Information on projects that involve working relationships with national real estate associations, including the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association, the Real Estate Research Institute, and the Appraisal Institute. Indiana Business Research Center - Research information, initiatives, media releases, resources and faculty list. Intensive English Program - The goal of the Indiana University Intensive English Program (IEP) is to increase the English language skills of non-native English speakers to the level needed for study at a college or university in the United States. The Hites' Laboratory for Analytical Environmental Chemistry - Applies organic analytical chemistry to the understanding of environmental problems. Almost all of our work uses gas chromatographic mass spectrometry for the analysis of trace levels of potentially toxic environmental pollutants. Institute for Development Strategies - The Institute serves as a focal point for Indiana University's intellectual contributions to the economic development field through its coordination of faculty research, presentation of seminars, course offerings, workshops, and conferences.
