Carnivorous plants attract, capture, and consume small creatures (primarily insects) as a means of obtaining nutrients. They generally grow in areas that are warm and humid, but it is possible to grow them indoors too.

The Carnivorous Plant Society - Based in the UK, this society publishes a journal and a quarterly newsletter. It also administers a seed bank that distributes seeds to members free of charge. The Victorian Carnivorous Plant Society - An Australian CP society.
