The trip from St. Joseph, Missouri, to California was the setting for each season of this series. Stories of the lives and circumstances of different members of the travel party were told and explored each week. Wagon Train originally aired over the NBC network from September 1957 until September 1962, and then additional original episodes were broadcast over the ABC network from September 1962 until September 1965.
