Internationally known actress of Norwegian heritage, born December 16, 1939. Lived as a child in Japan, Canada, New York, Oslo, and Norway. In the middle 1950s she debuted in the theater and soon after, in 1957, in the movies. Most noted for her work with Swedish director, Ingmar Bergman.
