Rachel Griffiths, Australian leading actress, born 20th February 1968, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She won the Australian Film Critics Award and the Australian Film Institute Award for best supporting actress as Rhonda in 'Muriel's Wedding' (1994). Supporting roles in Jude, My Best Friend's Wedding and other major international films have followed. She received an Oscar nomination for her performance in 'Hilary and Jackie' (1998).
