He is an Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe Award-winning American actor and film producer who has starred in a number of top-grossing movies. Cruise teamed with his long-time agent, Paula Wagner, to form Cruise/Wagner Productions.

Tom was married to actress Mimi Rogers from May 1987 to February 1990. Also married to actress Nicole Kidman from December 1990 to August 2001. Tom and Nicole have two adopted children, a son and daughter. As of June 2005, he is currently engaged to actress Katie Holmes. Tom and Katie have a daughter, born April 2006.
