Sweeney Todd was formed in the early 1970s in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada by Nick Gilder and Jim McCulloch. Lead singer Gilder left the band in the mid- to late-70s for a solo career and was eventually replaced by (then) 16-year-old Bryan Adams. Best known for the song Roxy Roller, Sweeney Todd disbanded in 1978.
