The grandson, son, and brother of noted composers, Serge Tcherepnin (1941-) likewise began an early and life-long interest in music. Yet where brother Ivan was satisfied with playing electronic instruments, Serge got involved in designing and building them. Serge Synthesizers became and remained popular with many in the field of electronic music. After selling his business, Serge returned to the making and composing of music as well as helping bring Russian Jews to Israel.
