Cuban composer, musicologist, and pianist Joaquín Nin y Castellanos (1878-1949) was also a noted professor of the pianoforte. Compositions include piano works, songs, and guitar pieces. He was father to composer Joaquín María Nin-Culmell and writer Anaïs Nin.
