English light music composer Robert Farnon (1917-) was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His music was heard on Canadian radio during his teens. During World War Two, he worked with touring orchestras before Allied troops, then taking his discharge and settling in England. He remained there, working in film and theater as well as other fields. His brother Dennis also became a composer.
