Italian composer Pasquale Francesco Durante, of the Baroque period, was born in 1684 and died in 1755. He is mainly known for his church music, along with some vocal chamber and instrumental works. His students included Pergolesi, Anfossi and Piccinni. Paisiello, Jommelli, Guglielmi, and Sacchini also felt his influence.
