Austro-Hungarian composer Pál Ábrahám (1892-1960) was, perhaps, the last of the great operetta composers. His work was interrupted by Nazi persecution and subsequent immigration and difficulty adjusting to his new environs coupled with the onset of mental illness took their toll on his health.
