Ayashi no Ceres is about a 16-year-old girl named Aya Mikage who learns that she is destined to ruin her family if she is allowed to live. The story focuses on Aya's struggle to fight her destiny so she can become a normal teenage girl again. The author is Yû Watase, who is best known for the series Fushigi Yûgi.
